You can set a project folder for sharing your project with other project members. You can collaborate smoothly in a shared project as Tekla BIMsight automatically shares public notes to project members. Store model files in the project folder to fully take advantage of semi-automatic adding and updating of models.

Set the project folder to your local drive. You can use file sharing services such as Dropbox, Google Drive and box.com for sharing the project folder. The file sharing service must be able to synchronize the local project folder with the data shared in the service.

To set a project folder:

  1. Go to the Home tab.

  2. Move the pointer over the project for which you want to set the project folder.

  3. Click Project Management.

  4. Click Project Folder.

  5. Browse for the folder in your local drive.

  6. Click OK.

Now you have set the project folder. You can share it to other project members using a file sharing service.

If you change the location or rotation of the models in your shared project, use the Republish Project command to share the changes with other project members.

Renaming or deleting the project folder may cause some issues and as a result project data may be lost.
